UPDATE – Flooding and Fires impacting USPS and the Transportation Industry

08/18/2016

The Postal Service and the transportation industry continue to be impacted by the floods in the  south and the fires in the west.

On Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at 7:28 p.m. Central Time, BNSF reported a track outage caused by wildfires impacting our Cajon Subdivision, which runs between San Bernardino and Barstow, California. This location impacts traffic to and from the Southern California On-Dock (SCOD), Los Angeles and San Bernardino facilities.

At this time, we are not seeing issues entering mail, but Fairrington are starting to see a strain on the transportation network. As always, we will reach out to clients that are directly.
