UPDATE – Postal Reform Moves Past Markup
UPDATE – Both bills have moved past markup with minor amendments. The next step will be a full House vote after Ways and Means performs their review.
Today, March 16, Postal Reform bills H.R. 756 and H.R. 760 will go to markup by the full House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.
H.R. 756 – To restore the financial solvency and improve the governance of the United States Postal Service in order to ensure the efficient and affordable nationwide delivery of mail, and for other purposes.
H.R. 760 – To amend title 5, United States Code, to provide for certain index fund investments from the Postal Service Retiree Health Benefits Fund, and for other purposes.
