Winter Storm Disruption in the Southern United States

12/10/2018

We are committed to providing our customers with the most up-to-date information for all potential delivery service disruptions.

At this time, we are closely monitoring winter storm Diego that is moving throughout the United States.  Diego has unleashed record snow and freezing rain on a large swath of the southern United States.  This major, travel-disrupting storm is generating snow and ice from Tennessee to North Carolina and Virginia. Travel conditions have deteriorated over the past 48 hours with authorities telling people to avoid driving unless absolutely necessary. As heavy snow pummels North Carolina, ice continues to cause problems in Tennessee and is now expanding into Kentucky.

A state of emergency was declared in North Carolina and Virginia as a result of the storm. The snow levels have exceeded what the southeastern portions of the U.S is accustomed to receiving this time of year.

We are anticipating delays of 24 to 48 hours in the following areas but not limited to:

  • Georgia
  • Kentucky
  • North Carolina (State of Emergency)
  • Oklahoma
  • South Carolina
  • Tennessee
  • Texas
  • West Virginia
  • Virginia (State of Emergency)
