Letter from Deborah – Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

06/01/2017

Dear friends,

I am on a journey to better my health, and contribute in a small part to the health of millions, who are affected by blood cancers.  For my part I am running in the Chicago Marathon on October 8th.  To prepare for the 26.2 miles I have joined a team of others for support and training.  This group is working together making positive impacts in the lives of patients and their families by our fund raising results.

Many of us have personal stories of how Leukemia or Lymphoma has touched our lives, we, and many who even without intimate exposure want to make a contribution to research for cures, and provide support and care for patients and families.  I lost my mother to Hodgkin’s Lymphoma at the age of eight.  I was fortunate to have family support, but I am aware that others are not as blessed, and may need financial, or emotional support.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society has done so much to the aid of this community, but there is much more to be done.  Please help in whichever way you can, if you are not in a position to donate I encourage you to give of your time to this or another organization in need of volunteers, you will not regret it.

For my part I am asking friends and families who can donate to please do so, this is an incredibly worthy cause touching so many people around the world.  Below is the link to my donation page.  I thank you for any contribution you can make.
