Fairrington’s Yvette Munoz Raises Awareness for Alzheimer Association

logo_alzYvette Munoz, part of Fairrington’s Client Services team, is volunteering at two Chicago area Alzheimer Association events: September 18 in Naperville and October 1 in Orland Park.

Yvette knows firsthand the impact of Alzheimer on families and loved ones. She stated that the association was a vital resource over the last 7 years through both its 24/7 800 helpline number, 1.800.272.3900, and the advice they provided on their website. Guidance and suggestions to get through everyday life provide both families and the patients with comfort and support.

Sadly, Yvette lost her mother, who she considered her best friend, to the disease last year. “I’m grateful that I was able to be close to my mother in many ways – she was indeed a great mother and my best friend. I lost my Mother last September, 2016 and since that day it’s been a challenge to know she is no longer physically with me and my family. But because of her, I have realized my strength and commitment can help someone else.”

Yvette will be speaking at the events to others about the organizations work and handing out T-shirts to the walk’s participants.

“At the end of the day, I have learned it will always be more rewarding to help others the best I can.”

The Alzheimer’s Association was formed in 1980 with the vision to advance research to end Alzheimer’s and dementia while enhancing care for those living with the disease. To learn more, visit http://www.alz.org/.
